Patrick M. Kelly
With profound sadness, the firm announces the sudden and untimely death of our colleague and friend, Patrick M. Kelly, age 38. During his time with the firm, Patrick served his clients and the office with the utmost competence and compassion. In addition to developing a strong following and obtaining outstanding results in Workers’ Compensation, Patrick began to build a solid practice in Veterans’ Disability law. He was a strong, untiring advocate for workers’ rights appearing frequently before the Maine Legislature seeking to protect benefits for injured workers. Before graduating from Wake Forest Law School and joining McTEAGUE HIGBEE, he was a commissioned Second Lieutenant in the Air Defense Artillery and served four years on active duty, achieving the rank of Captain. Patrick, a dear friend to everyone at the office, always pitched in where help was needed, and was widely respected and admired by all of us as well as his clients and attorneys throughout the state. He will be sadly missed. Patrick is survived by his wife, Julie and two infant daughters, Sophie and Evie. Memorial donations can be made to the Sophie & Evie Family Trust, c/o Biddeford Savings Bank, 360 U.S. Route 1, Scarborough, ME 04074.
