Bill is a native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and graduate of DePauw University and Washington University School of Law. His dedication to his practice comes from helping people who are suffering. Bill focuses on personal injury law with a concentration in construction accidents, asbestos litigation and other occupational diseases.  He's been recognized by his peers in The Best Lawyers in America for workers' compensation/longshore and personal injury litigation and as a Super Lawyer - New England for plaintiffs/personal injury.  In addition to the state and federal courts in Maine, he is admitted to practice in the First Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.  Bill is a member of the  Bath-Brunswick Bar Association, Maine State Bar Association, Maine Trial Lawyers Association, the Plaintiffs' Asbestos Litigation Group, and the American Association for Justice.  Bill was a member and past chairman of the Maine School Administrative District #75 Board of Directors and was a member of the Governor's Task Force on School Facilities, authoring its 1998 report.
